Preserving the ancient, noble Italian companion and truffle-hunting breed. Focused on health, temperament, and hunting heritage.
At Tesoro Riccio, we believe breeding is not a commercial transaction, but a dedicated act of preservation. We raise only one to two litters per year, allocating 100% of our lifestyle, time, and heart to the development of these noble Italian water dogs.
This thoughtfully planned breeding brings together Eliana and Jack once again, with a continued focus on health, temperament, structure, and preservation of the Lagotto Romagnolo.
Applications are open for families interested in our planned December 2026 litter.
Applications are currently open. Litter size and final availability will be confirmed following the late-pregnancy X-ray.
Health testing is central to every Tesoro Riccio breeding decision. Our planned parents have public OFA and CHIC records documenting the breed-recommended health screenings completed before breeding. Families are welcome to verify these results directly through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals database.
Representing a combination of Grand Champion show ring excellence and active, scent-focused field pedigree.

“Bringing a Tesoro Riccio puppy into our home has been such a phenomenal experience. Our dog is incredibly smart, healthy, and, of course, adorable. Working with Natalie was a great experience and we love knowing that we can reach out with questions at any time.”
“Pamina got her first title last night! She got star puppy! She is doing really well, she has been a great addition to our family. She follows me everywhere... I should have named her Velcro. Thank you so much for choosing her for us! She is a great addition to our family.”
I am Natalie Zarazua, owner and breeder of Tesoro Riccio. Based in Lubbock, Texas, 100% of my lifestyle and daily routine is dedicated to the care, enrichment, and preservation of this ancient companion breed.
My journey began out of a pure love for the Lagotto's intelligence and loving shaggy charm. Today, my mission is to maintain the highest standard of health, structure, and character. Every puppy is born and raised in my home, surrounded by love, and socialized using scientific early neurological stimulation protocols.
To me, these puppies are not products. They are heritage companions, and I treat every reservation as a support covenant to help maintain this noble breed for future generations.
